The intention and direction behind everything we do at BE.net is based on promoting music that we think should be at the forefront of todays charts/industry/scene/call it whatever you want.
All the bands/artists that we feature are featured for a reason. They're on here because we think they deserve to be bigger than all the other corporate, squillion quid, major label, generic, 'NME' bands out there.
We obviously understand that we wont do this overnight. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day. This website is here for a reason. We're here to (hopefully) form a community of people who appreciate music for more than the image that comes along with it. There's so much more to what 90% of people call music these days, and thats why we're here.
Here at BE.net, we're bored to the back teeth with the amount of control certain companies out there have over who 'makes it'. It's like a giant corporate filter!
The most important thing you need to know about BE.net is that we are NOT another one of them unsigned band websites that try and make a mountain out of a molehill. We're not here to try and change the world. We're merely here to help promote bands that we think deserve more, regardless of having already secured a record deal or not.
Ultimately, we'd love to expand not only our site, but our staff and our community into something that will resemble the best place for people to come and check out 'underground' bands.
But at the end of the day, we don't expect you to agree, we just want your respect.
